Horseshoe Bend & Navajo Bridge

I knew some interesting points but should have studied the region more deeply. I relied on my new GPS (they called it Mina) too much, and we spent a lot of time on the road.

After some drive to the wrong direction, we could finally reach the horseshoe bend we wanted to see.

The height of the location I took the above photo from the surface of the Colorado river is about 240 meters. Check it from Google map. Use Terrain mode.

We saw some Navajo indians selling souvenirs, where we could see some nice landscape.

If we are driving, the Navajo bridge is the closest way from the north rim to the south rim of the Grand Canyon and vise versa. (http://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/index.htm) There are two bridges: New one for cars, old for sightseeing.

Antelope Canyon

From Las Vegas, NV, we headed to Page, AZ. Close to Page, there is the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado river.

After checking in a hotel, we went to upper Antelope canyon. Taking a guided tour operated by Navajo indians, we could get the entrance of a crack.

I brought my tripod since I was told that I would need it, and this is the place where it is not easy to take photos without a tripod. In fact, I barely used the tripod in other places visited in this trip.

We went to the Lake Powell (maybe near Antelope point) and enjoyed the scenery.
